St. Mary’s Secondary School History

St Mary secondary school Nkwubor ugwuonwu Nike Enugu East LGA of Enugu state of NigeriaSt Mary’s secondary school Nkwubor Nike was founded in September, 2005 by Rev. Fr. Wilfred Agu. The school started with five students on enrollment.Today the school is being run with the strength of 15 tutors and about 200 students.Honestly, St Mary’s secondary school is progressively advancing toward its motto: Scientia est Portentia, meaning knowledge is power. This, the second administrator, Rev. Fr. Raphael Ani worked gallantly and secured the Junior WAEC approval for the school on 23rd November, 2011.Fortunately, the students have never had any resit on the subjects that are being offered by the school due to tutors’ zeal and experiences in the impartation of knowledge into students in their respective professions and the students quest and wiliness to assimilating the knowledge.

Currently the present administrator of the school, Rev. Fr. Jude Kelechi Chukwu came as a multi digit blessings in the late 2017, when he assumed office with these innovations: securing of an approval for both senior WAEC and NECO, erecting of ultra-modern examination hall that housed science laboratory, library and agricultural laboratory, all in the same roof.He introduced the inter-house sports activities with the required facilities. The inter-house sports had taken place for three times.The school had also rendered the leadership of the present administrator gone to important places like; Innoson Industrial company Ltd; Shoprite and the Federal Road Safety Academy in Udi on excursion.

Furthermore, the school awards scholarship to outstanding students and brings them up both morally and academically. St Mary’s school had turned out two students in seminary and other numerous ones in universities and overseas.The school does motivate tutors through seminars, work and study programs while students are being enlisted into different societies/clubs – science club, business, agriculture and debate to mention, but few.St Mary’s secondary school is an ideal school to enroll your children.
